Our organization provides inclusive walk-in and referral-based community programs and services tailored for vulnerable youth and adults navigating multiple barriers. Our comprehensive approach addresses the holistic needs of each individual, fostering a safe and supportive environment. From outreach initiatives to pre-employment, employment, education, safety planning, life skills, and self-advocacy programs, we are committed to creating an enriching experience. By offering a welcoming atmosphere, we empower individuals to embark on a transformative journey, reducing barriers and enhancing their lives.
Adult Support Services:
Provides free one-on-one support to individuals 16 years and older of all genders, on a first come, first served basis who require support for obtaining and retaining employment. Adult Support Services is the bridge for our participants to access resources and information, while empowering them to reach their individual goals.

Building Foundations Courses:
Building Foundations provides facilitated in class programing and an option for self study workbooks for Anger Management, Employment Preparation and Financial Literacy to individuals who are 16+ years of age. The workbooks provide program participants with skills and knowledge in these areas to assist them in achieving their individual goals.
Edmonton Remand Centre Programming
Creating Awareness offers education and pre-employment programming (Communication, Employment Preparation, Financial Literacy, Pre-Release Planning, Stress Management) to assist clients with pre-release planning and facilitate successful community reintegration. Responds to 2000-3000 requests annually for information and resources from individuals in ERC (e.g. housing, ID, income support, tax support, etc.)
WrapED
WrapEd is collaboration between the enCompass, Edmonton Police Services, Multi-cultural Health Brokers, Native Counselling Services of Alberta, REACH Edmonton, and YOUCAN Youth Services. WrapEd works with youth ages 16-24. While in the program youth are connected with youth workers and/or a wraparound facilitator who can support the youth in making positive changes in all aspects of their lives.

Adult Support Services
Our Goal…
To create a safe and supportive environment for our participants as they begin to make changes in their lives. Adult & Youth Support Services is the bridge for our participants to access resources and information, while empowering them to reach their individual goals. Self referrals or referrals from friends, family professionals.
Adult & Youth Support Services:
- Is open to participants 16 years of age and older.
- Can be accessed by individuals with or without justice status.
- Offers long term and short term one on one support.
- Operates on a voluntary basis.
- Provides knowledge of community resources such as; basic needs, housing, legal services, community meals, education, employment preparation and counselling services.
- Helps participants to complete applications (employment, education, identification, funding etc).
- Assists with resume writing, job search, interviewing techniques and follow up practices.
- Support with job maintenance and resolve workplace conflicts.
- Provide information on Record Suspensions and assist with the application process
- Assists with pre and post release planning for those transitioning from Federal or Provincial prison systems into the community.
- Provides pre-release planning packages and community resources.
- Provides institutional supports to incarcerated persons (via telephone).
- Provide supports to friends and family members who have loved ones incarcerated or involved in the criminal justice system.
- Knowledgeable in community resources such as, basic needs, housing, legal services, community meals, education, employment programs and counselling services.
- Assists with appropriate community referrals.
- Encourages and teaches participants to advocate for themselves.

Edmonton Remand Centre Programming:
Creating Awareness provides free workshops to participants who are incarcerated at the Edmonton Remand Centre. The workshops include: Communication, Financial Literacy, Employment Preparation, Stress Management, and Pre-Release Planning. These workshops provide program participants with skills and knowledge in these areas to prepare them for their release back into the community. Facilitator also responds to inquiries about various resources and services that may be available to inmates during and after their incarceration.
