enCompass’ Family Violence Outreach services provide FREE support to individuals experiencing family violence. It is a wraparound program that provides safety planning/risk assessment, education and information on available services, ongoing emotional support, advocacy, as well as referrals to other community agencies. The program aims to increase safety and reduce barriers using a goal-based approach. Self-referrals and referrals from community agencies are accepted.
Key Services Provided
Through Family Violence Outreach, enCompass provides survivors of family violence access to a wide range of services. This program offers information and resources to support the safety and well-being of participants, and lays the groundwork for a fresh start.
Services include:
- Safety planning/risk assessment
- Support with navigating systems
- Information/community referrals
- Advocacy/liaising
- Emotional support
Client services are available in person at our office, virtually and/or in the community.
At the end of Community Outreach program services:
100% of participants reported they were able to overcome barriers to living free from abuse.
100% gained a better understanding how to self-advocate. (2024)
Counselling Services
All family violence clients at enCompass are eligible for counselling through our partnership with Riseup Society of Alberta. This counselling may be done in person at our office or virtually.

At enCompass, we use the terms ‘survivor’ and ‘victim’ interchangeably, recognizing that each individual may relate more closely to one term over the other. We honour and respect the diverse experiences and identities of those affected by family violence and strive to provide inclusive, compassionate support for all.
